Teens

Teenagers today are bombarded at every angle with pressures from the world. Therefore it is vital that THE CHURCH stand up and rescue these teenagers before it is too late. Today's teen needs to understand that the carnal pleasures of this world are only temporary; but the consequences of those carnal pleasures can last for a lifetime. TRUE HAPPINESS and ETERNAL JOY comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Knowing Him and walking with Him on a daily basis will make life more pleasurable than all of the riches and popularity that can be imagined. The Christian TEENAGER can have fun that is guilt-free and pure; something the world's teenager knows nothing about but wishes now that he had known about before. MSBC strives to keep our teenagers involved and encouraged to love Christ and the Christian life, and flee from the temptations of this world.

We have a burden for the souls and spirituality of teenagers. At MSBC we desire for our teens to make great friendships, memorable activities and life-changing Bible study and application. We are EXCITED to see how the Lord is going to work in the lives of our teens.

Teen Devotion

Are You in the Minority?
7/29/2009

2 Thes. 1:11-12 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

When the twelve spies were sent into Canaan to spy out the land, ten returned with a bad report. Their assessment was that it was impossible to conquer the land that God had promised them. Forgetting how God had led them with a pillar of fire by night and cloud by day, and fed them manna from heaven every morning, brought forth water out of a rock, and parted the Red Sea, they saw the giants and failed to walk by faith and so fell to fear.

Joshua and Caleb however, returned with a good report. Refusing to be discouraged by what they saw, they fully trusted that their God was not going to break His promise.

We are living in extreme times today, and the evils seem to grow more dangerous everyday. How will we react? Will we be fall to fear just like the 10 spies with a bad report? Or will we do something extraordinary and will we walk by faith like Joshua and Caleb, trust in the love and power of our God, and take hold of God's promises to further His Kingdom.

Let's walk by faith, and take advantage of every opportunity that awaits us. May Joshua and Caleb be our examples of faith and courage in these days. With our God going before us, let follow Him and lean not unto our own understanding, but look to Him in every battle.
